(latin: be at peace/rest), a speculative design product solving a hypothetical problem in a possible future.
imagine a world where people and politics prioritize quality of life over economic growth. meaningful work, community connections, and simplicity become more important than material wealth. however, fewer working hours and a sudden abundance of free time lead to an excess of a feeling we all know: boredom.
these boredom relieving eyedrops were created for a course on speculative design. the starting point was a climate future scenario created by the nonprofit organization Forum for the Future. the dystopian aspect slowly developed in the process.
