anti-minimalism

an exploration of how graphic design would be if we all had more time to look.

this design experiment sets a statement against the efficient minimalism that currently dominates graphic design. maximalist design may not be clear at first glance, but is enjoyable to slowly take in and provides a resting point in our ever faster moving world.

the project includes illustrated themed letters (like a for ancient and m for marine) inspired by medieval illuminated manuscripts and a reimagining of the google.com search page.
